Virginia Lawyer Register Notices to Lawyers Supreme Court of Virginia Amends LEOs and Rules On October 2, 2019, the Supreme Court of Virginia amend-ed LEO 1750, regarding Lawyer Advertising and Solicitation, and LEO 1872, concerning Virtual Law Offi ce and Use of Executive Suites, effective immediately. The Court also amended Rule of Professional Conduct 4.4, Respect for Rights of Third Persons, as well as Paragraph 13, Procedure for Disciplining, Suspending, and Disbarring Attorneys, effective December 1, 2019. www.vsb.org/site/news/item/scv_amends_ leos_and_rules_of_court Supreme Court of Virginia Rejects Proposed Amendment to Rule 3.8 On October 24, 2019, the Supreme Court of Virginia rejected an amendment to add proposed Comment 5 to Rule 3.8, con-cerning additional responsibilities of a prosecutor. www.vsb.org/site/news/item/SCV_rejects_amendment Supreme Court of Virginia Amends Two Rules, Adds One On November 1, 2019, the Supreme Court of Virginia amend-ed Rule 1A:5 concerning Virginia Corporate Counsel & Corporate Counsel Registrants, and it amended Rule 2:615 pertaining to exclusion of witnesses . Lastly, the Court added Rule 7B:12 regarding Appeal by One Party; Separate Notices of Appeal by Other Parties.
