Noteworthy > VSB NEWS DaVida Davis Joins VSB as Clerk of the Disciplinary System DaVida M. “Dee” Davis joined the Virginia State Bar in July as clerk of the Disciplinary System. Prior to coming t o the bar, Davis worked for the past twenty years in the Norfolk Circuit Court Clerk’s Offi ce as the supervising deputy of the Criminal Division, where she also led the Civil and Financial Divisions at different times. During her tenure in Norfolk, Davis helped to make the Norfolk courthouse among the most technology driven courts in the commonwealth. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in Criminal Justice, Davis began her career in Richmond Circuit Court. She decided to return to Richmond because she was “looking for a new challenge” after her career in the Norfolk courts. Davis describes herself as a food-ie whose other hobbies of running and working out balance her love of food. Davis, who was named after her father, David, has two children: Michael, who recently served in the United States Air Force, and Taylor, who is a sopho-more at Georgetown University; and a granddaughter, Justyce, who calls her “Gigi.” NOTICE: Check Your MCLE Hours Online Now The Mandatory Continuing Legal Education compliance deadline is October 31, 2017.
